All end-users need an activated account with trial or subscription access to use TermLynx.

Subscriptions

TermLynx supports two types of subscriptions.

Individual subscriptions are granted on a case-by-case basis. After you sign up, the TermLynx team will contact you and activate your account for a trial period. After the trial, we invoice you through Stripe. Signing up does not automatically activate access, and you do not need to enter credit card information to activate your account.

Team subscriptions are usually managed with a company pilot. Our team will assign a domain name to the subscription. TermLynx will assign all users that confirm an email with that domain to the team subscription. A team subscription does not require a credit card to be activated.

It's important to note that the team subscription cost does not increase automatically and is managed manually by members of TermLynx's team.

Team subscriptions usually have a seat number assigned to them. Please get in touch with your sales representative to change seat settings or disable an account.

Creating an Account

Once TermLynx is added to Microsoft Word, create an account or sign in using an emailed code. You do not need to create a password or click an email confirmation link.

You must use your work email. TermLynx uses it to associate your account with your company trial and license.

1. Open a Microsoft Word document.
2. Activate TermLynx.
3. Enter your work email in the TermLynx pane.
4. Click Send code.
5. Check your email for the authentication code.
6. Return to the TermLynx pane in Word and enter the code in Email Code.
7. Click Submit.
8. Once your account has access, complete onboarding if prompted.

If the code does not arrive, check your junk or spam folder, then click Resend to request another code. If you still have not received a code after 5 minutes, contact your administrator.

Enterprise pilot: Signing in with your work email from the domain configured for your organization's active pilot automatically grants access. If you unexpectedly see Account is not vetted, contact your administrator.

Individual subscription: Signing in does not automatically grant access. Wait for the TermLynx team to contact you and activate your account for a trial. After the trial period, we invoice you through Stripe.
